Statement from the Cambridge Womens Rugby Union Football Club on their Visit to the European Parliament as Guests of Godfrey Bloom MEP 18th October 2004
Statement from the Cambridge Womens Rugby Union Football Club on their Visit to the European Parliament as Guests of Godfrey Bloom MEP

"The members of CUWRUFC would like to distance ourselves from the claims of
Miss Rebecca Bowtell and thoroughly believe Mr. Bloom behaved impeccably for the duration of the trip and offered great hospitality. The CUWRFC players who went felt that it was a wonderful experience, not only to learn about the EU parliament and to see Brussels, but also to enjoy the company of our sponsor, Mr. Bloom, at a private function in the evening. It was also fascinating to gain insight into, and to have been involved in, a press conference whilst on the visit. We would publicly like to thank Mr. Bloom and all other members of UKIP involved for all their hospitality, great generosity and for taking an interest in a minority womens’ sport".
