Well the police will act if you're on the game
For immediate release 24th August 2006

"The law abiding majority can get a policeman to respond to crime at last", said Godfrey Bloom MEP. According to a new Home Office campaign launched this week the police will prioritise, "Prostitutes and other people working in the sex industry".

Mr Bloom went on, "I have been 3 weeks campaigning in Grimsby to get the police interested in responding to innocent victims of violence and intimidation".

Following this new police initiative, have I to tell them to pretend they are prostitutes? Better still prostitutes from an oppressed minority - bingo! Someone might take some notice!"

"Of course I support any campaign that will reduce violence and increase reporting of crime to the police, but what on earth is the point when the police take no action when the crime is reported".

Gerry Sutcliffe the Home Office Minister and Bradford MP stated that, "We must ensure that victims' interests and needs are put at the heart of the criminal justice system". "Tell that to the people in Grimsby and Bradford being failed by his government and their policies. It just won't wash", said Bloom.
