I have read and enjoyed Bernard Dineen’s articles by and by for many years. Always forthright and full of common sense. Indeed his eurosceptic, small government, low tax and tough on crime opinions led me to suspect he was a closet UKIP supporter.
All these things are UKIP party policy. It is intellectually dishonest of Mr Dineen to suggest adherence to tribal party loyalty should outweigh loyalty to our country. In Victorian times he would be described as a humbug. What is the point of returning a conservative government with no policies or traditional values.
What would they actually do that is different from New Labour? They took us into the EU, they will not commit to take us out so a plague on them! Please do not insult our intelligence with the reform argument.
Incidentally, for the record, we won a labour seat with old labour votes. 22% Hull, 19% Rotherham, 21% Grimsby. The myth we only take Tory votes has been invented by the Tory party apologista |
